The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government sector public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs^[1] and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. History

The idea of National Service Scheme was first proposed by Major General Jagannath Rao Bhonsle. Later, the University Grants Commission, headed by S. Radhakrishnan, officially recommended the introduction of voluntary national service in academic institutions. This idea was again considered by the Central Advisory Board of Education (CABE) at its meeting in January, 1950; after examining the idea and the experiences of other countries in this field, the board recommended that students and teachers should devote time to voluntary manual work. In the draft, the first Five-Year Plan adopted by the government in 1952 and the need for social and labour service by Indian students for one year was stressed. In 1958 Jawaharlal Nehru, in a letter to the chief ministers, considered the idea of social service as a prerequisite for graduation. He directed the Ministry of Education to formulate a suitable scheme for the introduction of national service into academic institutions.

    

Symbol of N.S.S (National Service Scheme)

The symbol for the NSS has been based on the giant Rath Wheel of the world-famous Konark Sun Temple (The Black Pagoda) situated in Odisha, India. The wheel portrays the cycle of creation, preservation and release. It signifies the movement in life across time and space, the symbol thus stands for continuity as well as change and implies the continuous striving of NSS for social change. The eight bars in the wheel represents 24 hours of a day. The red colour indicates that the volunteer is full of young blood that is lively, active, energetic and full of high spirit. The navy blue colour indicates the cosmos of which the NSS is tiny part, ready to contribute its share for the welfare of the mankind.

Aim

The programme aims to instilling the idea of social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. It also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and first aid to the disaster's victims.

புனித வளனார் கல்லூரி மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட சிறப்பு முகாமானது திருச்சி மாவட்டம் ,எசனைக்கோரை ஊராட்சியில் நடைபெற்றது. நாள்: 28/9/2023.

முதல் நாள் தொடக்க விழாவில் பள்ளியின் தாளாளர் அருட்தந்தை, அருட்திரு M.A இஞ்ஞாசி சே.ச அவர்களும்,மற்றும் தலைமை ஆசிரியர், அருட்திரு V. ஜார்ஜ் சே.ச அவர்களும்,  எசனைக் கோரை ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய நடுநிலைப் பள்ளியின் தலைமை ஆசிரியர் திரு G. திருமாவளவன் அவர்களும், இல்லம் தேடி கல்வியின் மாவட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் திரு. இளஞ்சேட் சென்னி அவர்களும்,  எசனைக் கோரை ஊராட்சி மன்ற தலைவர் நாராயணசாமி மற்றும் ஊராட்சி மன்ற துணைத் தலைவர், ஊராட்சி நிர்வாகிகள் நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் திரு. ஜெ.டேனிப்பால் மற்றும் துணை ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் திரு. பாளையகுமரேசன் ஆசிரியர் அவர்களும் பங்கெடுத்தார்கள்....

நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட முகாம் சார்பாக  இலவச பொது மற்றும் கண் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை முகாம் 

01-10-2023 அன்று புனித வளனார் கல்லூரி மேல்நிலைப்பள்ளி நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட முகாம் சார்பாக  இலவச பொது மற்றும் கண் மருத்துவ சிகிச்சை முகாம் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது .சீனிவாசன் மருத்துவக் கல்லூரி மற்றும் மருத்துவமனை அதனோடு டாக்டர் அகர்வால் கண் மருத்துவமனையும் இணைந்து நடத்திய மருத்துவ சிறப்பு முகாம் சிறப்பாக நடைபெற்றது. இதில் 500 மக்கள் பயன் பெற்றனர்.

விழாவினை ஊராட்சி மன்ற தலைவர் திருமதி. சாந்தி நாராயணன் அவர்களும் துணைத்தலைவர் திரு வி .ராஜவேல் அவர்களும் ஊராட்சி ஒன்றிய நடுநிலைப்பள்ளி தலைமை ஆசிரியர் திரு.G. திருமாவளவன் அவர்களும் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்கள்.....

முகமானது காலை 9 மணி முதல் 1:30 மணி வரை நடைபெற்றது.....

மரக்கன்று நடுவிழா

02-10-2023 அன்று காலை 7:30 மணி அளவில் மரக்கன்று நடுவிழா தொடங்கப்பட்டது. விழாவில் பள்ளியின் தாளாளர் அருட்தந்தை அருட்திரு. இஞ்ஞாசி சே.ச மற்றும் முன்னாள் மாணவர் மன்ற துணைத் தலைவர் மற்றும் உறுப்பினர்கள் அனைவரும் பங்கெடுத்து மரக்கன்றுகளை நட்டார்கள்.....

நிகழ்ச்சி ஏற்பாடுகளை நாட்டு நலப்பணித் திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் ஜெ.டேனிப்பால் மேற்கொண்டார்.
